Job Description
The Electrical Hardware Engineer contributes to the integration and testing of high-reliability, space-based electronics systems. Working under the guidance of senior engineering staff, you will support key phases of the electrical lifecycle, from assisting with requirement flow-down to executing final verification and delivery. You will help manage hardware and software interdependencies and support the mitigation of technical risks to ensure the delivery of high-quality space electronics.

What You’ll Do:
- Technical Design & Execution:
- Design Support: Assist in the electrical design and development of high-reliability space systems and box architectures.
- Requirements Assistance: Support the analysis of system-level and box requirements and help document the flow-down to Printed Wiring Assemblies (PWAs), FPGAs, and software components.
- Development Participation: Contribute to the development of PWA and FPGA designs, assisting in the coordination between hardware and firmware for seamless integration. o Component Research: Support the selection and replacement of Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical (EEE) parts, ensuring adherence to space-grade reliability standards.
- Technical Analysis: Perform electrical analyses under supervision to help verify that system requirements are met.
- Integration, Test & Verification:
- Integration Execution: Assist in the physical and functional integration of electronics boxes.
- Test Execution: Help develop and execute box test plans and procedures to verify that all technical requirements are satisfied.
- STE Support: Support the design, assembly, and review of Specific Test Equipment (STE) required for verification.
- Anomaly Debugging: Assist in root-cause analysis and debugging efforts for technical anomalies and help implement corrective actions.
- Technical Documentation: Assist in generating the Requirements Verification Matrix (RVM) and other required technical delivery documentation.
- Program & Project Support:
- Planning Support: Assist leads in reviewing project schedules and tracking technical scope to support the overall box execution plan.
- Risk Communication: Identify and report potential technical or schedule risks to leadership to ensure timely resolution.
- Collaboration: Maintain productive working relationships with team members across Strategic Business Units (SBUs), Strategic Capabilities Units (SCUs), and the wider organization.

- Technical Growth: Actively participate in peer reviews and seek technical mentoring to grow professional proficiency in space-based electronics.
- Team Collaboration: Contribute to a collaborative team environment through active participation in project milestones and team meetings.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
- May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
- May access other facilities in various weather conditions.
