Job Description
Summary: Babson College is seeking a Dean’s AI Innovation Intern to support their 'All In on AI' strategy within the Undergraduate School. The intern will conduct research, design and develop AI-enabled tools, and collaborate with staff to enhance academic and administrative operations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct discovery and research by reviewing background materials, exploring existing tools, and meeting with Project and Business Leads
- Design an MVP (minimum viable product) for assigned AI innovation projects, including scoping, approach, and key features
- Develop and refine AI-enabled tools, prototypes, or workflows that support academic and administrative operations
- Test solutions, gather feedback from stakeholders, and iterate based on results
- Collaborate closely with Project Leads and Business Leads to validate solutions and refine deliverables
- Document current uses of generative and agentic AI within Undergraduate School operations
- Identify gaps and opportunities where AI tools could be applied effectively and responsibly
- Provide regular progress updates, including participation in biweekly in-person meetings
- Assume additional responsibilities as required to support project momentum and learning outcomes

Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with generative AI tools or agent-based systems
- Experience with prototyping, dashboards, or workflow documentation
- Interest in higher education innovation or academic operations
- Ability to translate complex ideas into practical solutions
