Summary: B&I Contractors, Inc. is seeking a proactive and organized Project Engineer Associate – Summer Intern to join their dynamic and expanding team. This position will provide valuable exposure to the construction industry and allow the candidate to apply their academic knowledge in a practical setting. Responsibilities: - Complete various tasks assigned by the Project Management teams, including but not limited to creating spreadsheets, maintaining job books, preparing submittals, etc - Responsible for filing, copying, compiling documents, and ensuring proper organization of project files on company networks - Attend PreBid and jobsite meetings, assisting in gathering information and reporting key insights - Participate in industry and community events such as ASHRAE and Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) and other relevant forums to expand your professional network and industry knowledge - Assist in preparing engineering reports, drawings, and other project-related documentation - Utilize Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel) to effectively organize and maintain project-related information - Interface with construction industry professionals, demonstrating professionalism and building credibility with external stakeholders - Support the engineering team with research, data analysis, and technical tasks as needed - Actively participate in team meetings, contributing ideas and helping with problem-solving efforts Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) - Strong communication and organizational skills - Ability to maintain professionalism and credibility when working with construction industry professionals - Willingness to travel to job sites and attend industry events - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively - Drug test and background check are pre-employment requirements Required Skills: Mechanical Engineering, Microsoft Office
