Job Description
Summary: B and B Maintenance, Inc. is a privately held commercial facilities services and janitorial company headquartered in Lake Zurich, IL. They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to analyze financial data, support process improvements, and contribute to informed business decisions in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter and maintain financial transactions in accounting systems
- Support accounts payable/receivable processes
- Assist with monthly close activities and reconciliations
- Maintain organized and audit-ready financial records
- Prepare recurring financial and operational reports
- Assist in building dashboards and summaries for leadership
- Identify trends, variances, and anomalies in financial data
- Translate data into clear, actionable insights
- Analyze large data sets to support business decisions
- Partner with cross-functional teams to gather and validate data
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve accuracy
- Support ad hoc analysis and special projects
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, basic analysis)
- Analytical mindset with curiosity to understand “why” behind the numbers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual in the Spanish language
- Internship or coursework involving financial analysis or reporting
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems
- Familiarity with data tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
