Job Description
Summary: Axon is on a mission to Protect Life, focusing on critical safety and justice issues with their ecosystem of devices and cloud software. As a Research Analyst in Revenue Intelligence, you will support market intelligence efforts to enhance revenue strategy across public safety segments, ensuring accurate data representation and enabling smarter decision-making for sales leaders.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct structured research on U.S. public safety and justice markets, including Law Enforcement, Fire/EMS, Communications/Dispatch, Corrections, Justice, and other state and local government agencies
- Collect, validate, and document authoritative external data sources
- Enumerate and describe purchasing bodies, user populations, and other measures of product insertion potential
- Assist in defining entity types, hierarchies, and jurisdictional relationships within the sales enablement ecosystem
- Compile and maintain government-issued agency identifiers to ensure accurate entity matching across external datasets and internal systems
- Maintain documented source references to ensure data accuracy, traceability, and decision-making confidence
- Research strategic competitors and relevant product offerings across public sector markets
- Collect and structure external purchase and market data
- Support integration of external intelligence into the sales enablement ecosystem
- Identify and resolve missing or duplicate records and structural inconsistencies in market data
- Assist in maintaining data governance standards to improve consistency and accuracy
- Monitor commissions-critical and forecasting-related data elements for quality issues
- Partner with Sales, Finance, Sales Systems, and IT to support data accuracy initiatives
- Assist in aligning cross-segment accounts to improve attribution and coordination
- Research and validate strategic data elements impacting decision-making and seller compensation
- Identify potential gaps resulting from contract changes or system inconsistencies
- Support reconciliation of customer and transaction records from acquired companies
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Public Policy, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Experience in market research, revenue operations, data analytics, CRM data management, or a similar analytical role
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency; familiarity with SQL preferred
- Experience working with CRM or sales enablement systems is a plus
- Ability to interpret complex organizational structures and translate them into structured data
- Experience with data reconciliation and strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Curiosity, ownership mindset, and commitment to data accuracy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with SQL preferred
- Experience working with CRM or sales enablement systems is a plus
