Job Description
Summary: Axon is on a mission to Protect Life, focusing on safety and justice issues with their ecosystem of devices and cloud software. The IT Endpoint Engineer role is crucial for the IT Operations team, responsible for managing endpoint security and identity architecture while automating processes to improve efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Execute Technical Playbooks: Act as the hands-on engineer for integrating acquired companies, following the "Axon IT Ops M&A Playbook" to handle SaaS application disposition and remote laptop provisioning
- Identity & Access Management: Manage the Workday → Okta provisioning pipeline. Execute automated Joiner/Mover/Leaver (JML) workflows and maintain Okta Identity Governance (OIG) to ensure proper access controls
- Endpoint Management: Maintain and troubleshoot Axon’s endpoint fleet using Jamf Pro (macOS/iOS), Microsoft Intune (Windows), and Tanium. Ensure autonomous patch management and sensor health
- Platform Migrations: Support "Project Neo" (Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace migration) by executing identity sequencing, mail cutovers, and ensuring calendar coexistence
- Workflow Automation: Develop and maintain Okta Workflows and custom API integrations to bridge gaps between ServiceNow, Slack, and Jira, reducing manual ticket volume
Required Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in administration of Tier 1 SaaS services (Okta, Google Enterprise, M365, or Zoom)
- Demonstrated experience managing device management platforms (Jamf, Intune, or similar)
- Proficient in PowerShell or Bash for automating tasks and a strong understanding of API-based integrations
- Solid understanding of SAML, OAuth, RBAC, and user provisioning
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work under pressure while maintaining high standards for documentation and communication
