Job Description
Summary: Axis Communications is a network technology company focused on creating innovative solutions for security and business performance. They are seeking a motivated candidate to assist the Field Sales Engineering Team with pre-sales support and maintain the Axis Experience Center in their Irvine office.
Responsibilities:
- Provide pre-sales design and support
- Prepare technical sales materials
- Develop system design recommendations
- Coordinate on-site visits, surveys, proof of concept and trial installations
- Maintain the various technologies in the Axis Experience Center
- Act as a backup to other Axis Professional Services staff as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Travel within assigned region up to 25% of time
- Help identify efficiencies and effective ways of work to streamline workflows
Required Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in a secondary institution and qualified to work under a 4, 8, or 12-month internship or co-op program
- Networking or related knowledge (TCP/IP, transport protocols, switches, infrastructure, troubleshooting, etc.)
- Mature, professional verbal and listening skills
- Strong technical writing, public speaking, and presentation skills
- Solid technical writing skills especially white paper, manuals, and instructions
- Resourceful and flexible
- Ideal candidates must reside or be able to commute to Irvine, CA
- This job is in-office in-person, no remote
- Travel within assigned region up to 25% of time
- Employee is occasionally required to lift 20-40 lbs
- Ability to climb and stand on ladders or lifts for extended period of time
- Ability to work with heights. Ceilings, ladders, roof tops, etc
- Access to a vehicle for occasional site visits, meetings outside the office
