Summary: Avid Bioservices is a biotechnology company seeking an Intern for Manufacturing Operations. The role involves supporting various manufacturing functional areas, participating in improvement projects, and gaining hands-on experience in GMP manufacturing operations. Responsibilities: - Support Manufacturing teams through observation of cGMP operations across all functional areas - Assist in staging materials, equipment readiness checks, inventory organization, and cleanroom compliance activities - Participate in Manufacturing improvement projects focused on efficiency, documentation accuracy, and operational excellence - Support SOP and BPR improvement initiatives through document review, identifying inconsistencies, and proposing enhancements - Assist in collecting process data, compiling information, and supporting investigations related to equipment or process deviations - Aid in maintaining clean and compliant manufacturing areas, including equipment logs, material organization, and audit readiness - Observe aseptic techniques and basic bioprocess workflows while adhering to partial hands-on restrictions Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, or related field - Strong interest in CGMP manufacturing and bioprocess operations - Availability to work full-time for the duration of the internship at our Tustin, CA facility - Authorization to work in the country where the internship is located - Passionate about a career in the biotech industry and looking to gain valuable experience through this internship Required Skills: Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering Important Skills: CGMP manufacturing Nice-to-Have Skills: Multitasking Benefits: Mentorship: Your manager and team will provide training, mentorship, and development opportunities., Weekly Check-ins and 1:1s: Conduct both on a weekly basis to ensure clear communication and support for our interns., Performance Assessments: Conduct mid and end of program performance assessments to be provided with constructive criticism and feedback to help you grow and succeed., State of the Art Facility: You’ll be working amongst the brightest minds in our world class facilities., Internship Experiences: Intern Open House, Summer Leadership Series, Lunch & Learns, Site Tours, End of Program Presentation
