Job Description
Locum General Surgery Physician Assistant
Put your surgical expertise to work supporting four hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) surgeons.
Why This Assignment
Assignment Dates: ASAP start, ongoing
Schedule: 7 a.m.–5 p.m., four days per week; no call
Pay: $120/hour
Support four HPB surgeons alongside three additional APPs
Manage approximately 15 patients per shift in a 30-bed department
Primarily inpatient rounding, admissions, and surgical service management, with occasional outpatient clinic coverage
Care for patients with benign and malignant hepatobiliary and pancreatic conditions
Epic EMR with RN, MA, and APP support
Travel: Paid travel and expenses
About You
Be able to do the job as described.
Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies, PA-C
Active North Carolina Physician Assistant license
BLS certification
At least 1 year of general surgery experience, preferably HPB
Comfortable managing inpatient surgical patients and admissions
