Join our team as an Engineer, Chemical & Process and play a key role in delivering innovative solutions across energy, resource, and manufacturing projects. Collaborating closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams, you'll focus on the dairy industry, manufacturing and food & beverage sectors, supporting and expanding our pipeline with sustaining capital projects in New Zealand. You’ll also contribute to our growing decarbonization portfolio, strengthening client partnerships and driving growth with new manufacturing clients, in alignment with our Energy & Industrial plan. Key Responsibilities: Hygienic Process Design Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) for dairy and food processing plants P&ID development and updates for hygienic plant systems CIP systems process support and segregation of product, CIP and utilities Process Documentation & Data Equipment datasheets (tanks, pumps, valves, heat exchangers) Instrument and valve datasheets Line lists, equipment lists, valve schedules Utility connection schedules for dairy services Process Calculations & Checks Steady-state mass and energy balances Flow, pressure drop, and utility demand calculations Heating and cooling duty calculations for dairy liquids Dynamic mass and energy balances for storage specifications Utilities & Ancillary Systems Process water, hot water, chilled water, and condensate system support Utilities interfaces with hygienic process systems Coordination with process water and wastewater scope where required Process chemical storage and delivery systems Process QA and Coordination Drawings, calculations, datasheets and reports checking and review Process document control and transmittals Document and model updates during detailed design and construction We know today’s complex challenges can only be solved through bringing together diverse teams of people from across our business, so there will be opportunities for you to apply your skills and creativity to projects in other geographies and markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dairy, food or other clean-industry sectors or general manufacturing Alongside this, you will have the following: Bachelor's degree in Process or Chemical Engineering Proven experience in a similar role with 4+ years’ experience post-graduation Hydraulics, simulation and expertise in MS Excel Good to have: Simulation and software Steady State Simulation Dynamic Simulation HYSYS Phast Fluidflow Bentley Hammer Pipeflo Bluebeam Smart PIDs Miroboard (for HAZOP) Our Aurecon Attributes define our way of being – they are a collection of qualities that makes us who we are.
