Intern- Analytical Development at Aura Biosciences in Boston, MA

Summary: Aura Biosciences is a biotech company focused on developing complex biologics. The Analytical Development Intern will support analytical development activities, perform laboratory experiments, and assist in method development while gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities: - Support biophysical/bioassay characterization studies by assisting in method execution, sample preparation, and data collection for VLP-based products - Perform laboratory experiments following established protocols - Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in electronic lab notebooks (ELNs) in accordance with good laboratory practices - Participate in data review and discussions related to analytical characterization studies Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline - Interest in analytical development and characterization of biologics, including virus-like particles (VLPs) - Basic understanding of analytical method development principles is a plus - Familiarity with documentation practices and data integrity concepts - Ability to follow detailed protocols, manage multiple tasks, and meet timelines - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Effective written and verbal communication skills - Working knowledge of data analysis and basic statistics Required Skills: Analytical development, Biophysical characterization Important Skills: Data analysis, Basic statistics Nice-to-Have Skills: Following protocols, Documentation practices
