IT Security - Intern at Atlas Air in White Plains, NY

Summary: Atlas Air Worldwide is a leader in outsourced aviation logistics, operating globally across more than 70 countries. They are seeking a Cyber Security Intern to assist their Information Security team in identifying and mitigating security threats, providing practical experience in cybersecurity fundamentals and contributing to critical security projects. Responsibilities: - Assist in monitoring, identifying, and responding to security events and incidents using SIEM tools - Support vulnerability assessment and management processes, including scans and reporting - Monitor and analyze reported phishing emails to determine threat level and appropriate response - Assist in investigating and triaging potential phishing attempts, working closely with the Incident Response team - Monitor and respond to security alerts generated by Microsoft 365 Defender, including alerts from Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity, and Cloud App Security - Participate in security awareness training sessions and create informational materials for users - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support security-related projects and initiatives Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or Computer Science - Basic knowledge of networking concepts, operating systems, and security principles - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills - Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing landscape - Eagerness to learn and a genuine interest in cyber security Required Skills: Cyber Security, Networking concepts, Operating systems Important Skills: Analytical skills, Problem-solving skills Nice-to-Have Skills: Eagerness to learn, Communication skills, Teamwork, Adaptability Benefits: Medical, dental and vision insurance, Employee assistance program, Generous paid time off, 401K contributions
