Location: Bahamas
Position Summary: The Atlantean will be responsible for promoting and facilitating activities and programs for guest participation and enjoyment including but not limited to pool games, kid’s activities, trivia, and BINGO. The Atlantean is responsible for ensuring the activities are offered to a defined standard of quality. The Atlantean should have the ability to be a good conversationalist and public speaker and carry themselves with a professional demeanor all the while exuding enthusiasm and a sense of fun.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Promote all resort programs, facilities, departmental offerings, and activities available at the property.
Host and assist with all resort services and activities as scheduled by the department head.
Manage the daily Sno Cone operation, ensuring all items are stocked and kept clean.
Distribute prizes to guests for participation in activities where appropriate and as pre-determined by the department head.
Assist with the development of new and innovative ideas for the property.
Prepare all necessary equipment for scheduled activities as predetermined by management.
Conduct monthly inventory and submit inventory reports to management by the set date.
Always maintain audio systems/equipment provided for activities , ensuring that they are in good repair and available to guests.
Distribute daily Atlantean programs to assigned areas of the resort, ensuring that such areas are sufficiently supplied with programs.
Record guest attendance at each activity offered on property.
Report to the Library as assigned by the department head to cover shift changes and/or breaks
Working knowledge of other Guest Activities departments to include Movie Theater, CRUSH, and Library.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Valid Health Certificate
Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Micros Point of Sale System.
Good written and verbal communication skills
The ability to convey a sense of fun with enthusiasm to the guests participating in programs.
Confident demeanor and ability to "think on feet."
Positive attitude with high level of energy and openness to feedback for improvement
Service oriented attitude towards guests.
