Job Description
Summary: Atlantic Health is seeking a summer intern for the Healthcare Transformation Consortium (HTC) to support strategic initiatives and operational efforts within a collaborative of healthcare organizations across New Jersey. The intern will assist in developing presentations, support new strategic initiatives, and contribute to benchmarking reports while gaining meaningful exposure to healthcare transformation work.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing presentations for meetings with senior hospital and health system executives, including C-suite leadership
- Support new strategic initiatives, including population health strategy and data aggregation efforts
- Contribute to benchmarking reports by reviewing system-wide data and identifying key benefit highlights and insights
- Assist with financial and analytical projects, including both qualitative and quantitative analysis
- Participate in vendor meetings and product demonstrations
- Help consolidate and synthesize feedback from multiple vendors to support informed decision-making
- Support project management activities across strategic initiatives
- Assist with day-to-day HTC operations in a dynamic workplace environment
Required Qualifications:
- Applicants must be currently enrolled in a full-time accredited public or private College/University
- Current undergraduate student studying Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Management, Public Health, Health Policy, or a related field
- Be in good academic standing
- Work 37.5 hours per week and commit to a minimum of 375 hours for the duration of the internship
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, asylee, refugee, or lawful permanent resident
- Strong interest in healthcare innovation and transformation
- Project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word required)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience or coursework in data analytics preferred
- Healthcare or hospital experience is a plus, but not required
