Location: Nashville, TN
The Sr Director Compensation leads enterprise compensation strategy, governance, and execution to attract and retain talent while maintaining internal equity and market competitiveness. This role oversees global broad-based and executive pay programs, job architecture, pay equity monitoring, market pricing, incentive design, and annual compensation cycles. The leader partners with Finance, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Legal to align compensation programs with business priorities and regulatory requirements. The role drives analytics, process excellence, and technology/AI enablement, and stewards education for leaders and HR on compensation philosophy and practices.
ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS/DUTIES
Define compensation philosophy and governance frameworks.
Lead market pricing and pay structure design.
Oversee annual merit, bonus, and promotion cycles.
Direct executive and sales incentive program design.
Advance pay equity analysis and action planning.
Enable HR and leaders with compensation guidance.

Expert market data analysis and benchmarking.
Job architecture and leveling methodology expertise.
Incentive plan modeling and ROI evaluation.

12+ years progressive compensation leadership experience.
Experience leading enterprise compensation programs.
People management of compensation teams.
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Master's degree or MBA preferred.
Public company executive compensation exposure.
Global compensation program experience.
PREFERRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
CCP or equivalent professional certification.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads a team of compensation professionals.
Provides coaching and performance management.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Travels: As needed for leadership and planning.
% of Time: Up to 15% travel.
