Payroll Specialist I at Asure Software in Burlington, VT

Summary: Asure Software is a Human Capital Management company that empowers businesses to manage their workforce effectively. They are seeking a Payroll Specialist I to provide expert payroll processing services for small business clients, ensuring accurate payroll records and compliance with regulations. Responsibilities: - Process weekly, semi-monthly, and custom calendar payroll - Calculate paychecks using tax tables - Inspect automated system outputs such as registers and standard reports - Determining and correct out-of-balance conditions - Check and audit timekeeping records for standard compliance - Validate time and attendance records from TLM system with payroll - Enter in new hires into Payroll Central - Post changes in pay and tax status - Process involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments - Prepare special reports for management Required Qualifications: - 1-3 years automated payroll systems experience or equivalent accounting experience - Previous payroll experience in a client facing environment - Previous customer service experience - Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook - Ability to deliver under tight deadlines or unusual or critical situations - Professional presentation of written information, that is clear and effective for success with clients - Direct experience in a variety of SaaS payroll systems, and your ability to learn new ones Preferred Qualifications: - Background of in-house payroll processing experience in a small to mid-sized business is highly preferred, but not required Required Skills: Automated Payroll Systems, Payroll Processing, Tax Tables, Timekeeping Records Auditing, Time and Attendance Systems, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, SaaS Payroll Systems Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, FSA- All effective on day 1!, Company paid Basic Life Insurance, A+D, Long-Term Disability, and Short-Term Disability, 401K Program with 3% safe harbor contribution, Employee Stock Purchase Program, Fitness Reimbursement Program, Self-Managed PTO
