VP, Planning & Procurement Location: United States Virtual The Vice President, Planning & Procurement leads the strategy and execution of the organization’s logistics, repair, distribution, and procurement operations. This role drives forecasting accuracy, inventory optimization, process improvement, and cross-functional alignment across the enterprise. The VP owns the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) framework and ensures operational readiness that supports financial performance, customer satisfaction, and scalable growth. This leader also oversees procurement strategy, ensuring timely, cost-effective sourcing that supports global operations. What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job? Develop and execute the planning strategy for logistics, repair, and distribution networks Build a standardized demand planning and forecasting process aligned with financial forecasts Lead the S&OP process to balance supply and demand, identify risks, and drive proactive decisions Create capacity models to optimize resource utilization and meet customer expectations Ensure optimal stock levels and effective inventory management across regions and depots Conduct operational productivity analyses and lead global inventory optimization initiatives Develop and automate KPI reporting for internal and client-facing stakeholders Analyze business and financial results to support strategic decision-making Monitor and improve forecasting accuracy and operational efficiency through performance metrics Partner with procurement, forecasting, business development, and other teams to align operations with demand planning Collaborate with clients and actuaries to forecast volume requirements and validate assumptions Drive continuous improvement initiatives across cross-functional teams Lead and mentor a team of directors and managers supporting planning, analytics, procurement, and order management Provide coaching, career development, and performance management to build a high-performing team Manage inventory budgets exceeding $100M, maximizing margin growth through effective supply–demand balancing Support cost-reduction efforts while maintaining high service levels What are the requirements needed for this position? Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field 10+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or related fields, including 3+ years in a leadership role managing cross-functional teams Strong proficiency with forecasting and inventory planning systems Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, trend analysis, modeling) Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision-making abilities Proven success leading cross-functional process improvements Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level influence What other skills/experience would be helpful to have? Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field APICS CPIM/CSCP certification or equivalent Experience with ERP platforms (Oracle, Great Plains, or similar) Deep knowledge of S&OP processes and best practices Track record of performing well under tight deadlines in fast-paced environments Ability to solve complex strategic problems with practical, actionable solutions #AssurantProudEB Pay Range: $201,100.00 - $335,800.00 Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
