They are seeking a Security Intern to assist in enhancing monitoring and visibility through the security event management system and support incident response initiatives. Responsibilities: - Identify and onboard log sources into the organization’s security event management (SIEM) system to enhance monitoring and visibility - Partner with security analysts to develop and document SOC playbooks for incident response and standard operating procedures - Create and maintain dashboards to track security metrics, KPIs, and KRIs, supporting data-driven decision making - Assist with security awareness initiatives, including training coordination, testing efforts, and user engagement Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's or master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline - Strong interest in enterprise technology, cybersecurity, systems architecture, and applying technical solutions to support business operations - Analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to break down complex, loosely defined problems - Ability to present insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences - Experience working with relational databases Preferred Qualifications: - Exposure through coursework, internships, or academic projects related to technology, security, systems engineering, or data analysis Required Skills: Cybersecurity, Data analysis Important Skills: Relational databases, Systems engineering Nice-to-Have Skills: Analytical mindset
