Intern- Process Development, Downstream at AskBio Inc. in Durham, NC

Summary: AskBio Inc. is a fully integrated gene therapy company dedicated to developing life-saving medicines and changing lives. The Process Development Internship will provide hands-on training in downstream unit operations and involve working on binding capacity experiments to enhance downstream processes. Responsibilities: - Support the Process Development team with various downstream applications - Learn how to use downstream processing equipment and instruments - Communicate project progress with PD members - Collect and analyze experimental data - Maintain clear records of experiments performed using electronic lab notebook - Present completed project in a formal presentation Required Qualifications: - Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field - Must be at least a Junior in university at the time of your application - Proactive and solution-driven mindset - Proficient with MS Office Suite and ability to learn new technologies quickly - Strong sense of accountability and ability to prioritize multiple tasks - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Flexible and willing to support a variety of tasks for the Process Development team - Available to work full-time at the office during the summer months (May-August) at an AskBio office Preferred Qualifications: - Prior internship, work, or volunteer/extracurricular experience - Prior experience working in a lab environment Required Skills: Downstream processing, Chromatography Important Skills: Biology, Chemistry Nice-to-Have Skills: MS Office Suite
