Supply Chain Coordinator, Master Data Management at Ascension · Remote

Summary: Ascension is a leading nonprofit Catholic health system focused on transforming healthcare. They are seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to manage purchase orders, vendor inquiries, and support inventory management across departments. Responsibilities: - Prepares purchase orders and verifies specifications of purchase orders. Follows-up on outstanding orders, provides departments with back-order information and offers alternative sources when possible - Consults catalogs, contracts or vendors to obtain pricing/availability information. Obtains competitive bids for major purchases and does bid analysis for review by manager of purchasing - Researches and negotiates routine non-contracted organizational purchases. Works with inventory managers to analyze usage history of inventory stock items and determines ordering requirements - Provides resource assistance for all departments regarding supply, equipment and vendor inquiries - Notifies contract teams and works with MSC to research discrepant invoices and requisitions to achieve resolution - Completes capital requisitions and assists with capital projects - Works with centralized contract design team for local contract facilitation - Works with local and national operations teams to provide analytical support Required Qualifications: - High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required - Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable Preferred Qualifications: - A high school diploma (or equivalent) - Previous internship or 1 year professional experience - Full proficiency in Excel - Professional working proficiency in Google Workspace applications (Docs, Slides, Sheets, etc.) Required Skills: Excel, Google Workspace Important Skills: Purchase Order Management, Vendor Negotiation Benefits: Paid time off (PTO), Various health insurance options & wellness plans, Retirement benefits including employer match plans, Long-term & short-term disability, Employee assistance programs (EAP), Parental leave & adoption assistance, Tuition reimbursement, Ways to give back to your community
