Artists ReEnvisioning Tomorrow Inc. (“ART INC”), founded in 2018 by Jonathon and Nikki Romain, is Peoria’s leading arts-in-education nonprofit organization. ART INC provides arts education opportunities to nearly 500 students and teaching artists each year. Our staff, board, volunteers, and teaching artists work collectively to ensure all students—regardless of background or ability to pay—can imagine, create, and realize their full potential through the arts.
Job Description: Grant Writer (Contract Position)
ART INC is seeking an experienced Grant Writer to help secure funding from foundations, corporations, and government agencies. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, persuasive communicator with experience in nonprofit fundraising and a passion for arts and education.
This is a remote-friendly contract position with flexible hours. Compensation is negotiable based on experience and scope of work. Virtual meetings are held twice a month.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and recommend funding opportunities that align with ART INC’s mission.
- Develop and prepare grant proposals and related materials as needed.
- Advise ART INC on grant strategy, process, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree OR 4–5 years of grant writing experience in a nonprofit setting.
- Proven track record of securing grants from foundations, corporations, and/or government agencies.
- Strong research, communication, and storytelling skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines while working independently.
- Experience in arts or education organizations is preferred but not required.
