Summary: Armstrong World Industries is a building products company. The Electrical Engineer Intern will complete an assigned engineering project, troubleshoot electrical manufacturing equipment, and support capital engineering projects. The role also provides exposure to project management, equipment reliability, and manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Completing an assigned engineering project during the term of the internship
- Troubleshooting electrical manufacturing equipment
- Contributing to several ongoing capital engineering projects diverse areas of the plant
- Gaining experience and exposure to the Project Management Life Cycle, including:
- Preparation of project specifications and requirements
- Project schedule coordination and utilization of Project Management tools
- Installation oversight, project closing activities, and sustainability initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Must be a maximum of 24 months away from graduation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, team-oriented, and technically savvy
- Previous internship in manufacturing environment
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated leadership skills
