They are seeking a motivated Cloud Security Compliance Intern to support security and compliance initiatives across cloud environments, providing hands-on experience in assessing cloud systems and ensuring adherence to industry standards. Responsibilities: - Assist in monitoring and evaluating cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) for compliance with security policies and standards - Support audits and assessments related to frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or NIST - Help document security controls, processes, and procedures - Participate in risk assessments and identify potential security gaps - Work with security tools (e.g., CSPM, SIEM, vulnerability scanners) to analyze findings - Assist in remediation tracking and reporting compliance status - Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to promote secure cloud practices - Stay updated on cloud security trends, threats, and best practices Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field - Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) - Familiarity with security controls and compliance requirements (ISO 27001, CSA STAR, etc.) - Knowledge of networking fundamentals, identity and access management (IAM), and encryption concepts - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications: - Exposure to security tools such as Crowstrike, Cloudflare, Micorost Sentinel, etc - Understanding of DevSecOps principles and tools - Understanding of how code deployment pipelines work (Azure DevOps, GitHub, etc.) - Prior coursework or projects related to cloud security or compliance Required Skills: Cloud platforms - AWS, Cloud platforms - Azure, Cloud platforms - GCP, Security compliance frameworks - SOC 2, Security compliance frameworks - ISO 27001, Security compliance frameworks - NIST, Security compliance frameworks - HIPAA, Security controls, Identity and access management (IAM), Encryption concepts, Security tools - CSPM, Security tools - SIEM, Security tools - vulnerability scanners, Security tools - Crowdstrike, Security tools - Cloudflare, Security tools - Microsoft Sentinel, DevSecOps principles, Code deployment pipelines - Azure DevOps, Code deployment pipelines - GitHub, Networking fundamentals
