Summary: Arlington County Government is seeking a Budget and Finance Intern to join their Department of Technology Services. The role involves supporting budgeting and capital planning processes, procurement, and financial management while collaborating with the finance team and documenting financial processes. Responsibilities: - Support the department’s operations by leading the budgeting and capital planning processes, procurement, and financial management - Work closely with all functions of the finance team to gain an expansive experience with the various functions of the finance team - Identify opportunities to enhance the support the finance team provides - Collaborate with members of technology operations - Document financial processes - Coordinate process improvement initiatives Required Qualifications: - Must be available for a one-year, full-time internship - Must complete each section of the application thoroughly - Must have prior job responsibilities and duties documented in the application - Must be able to work closely with all functions of the finance team - Must be willing to learn about various functions of the finance team - Must be able to identify opportunities to enhance support provided by the finance team - Must be able to collaborate with members of technology operations - Must be able to document financial processes - Must be able to coordinate process improvement initiatives
