Business Development Representative - UK at Ardoq

Open the conversation that helps the UK’s most complex enterprises see, and steer, their own change.

The Ardoq story

Ardoq is one of Norway’s most exciting scale-ups, a truly global company built out of Oslo. We are a SaaS platform that helps organizations understand, manage, and evolve their complex digital landscape. By providing a dynamic, collaborative “digital twin” of their business, we connect systems, people, and processes to drive better decision-making and accelerate digital transformation.

Today, we help some of the world’s most complex organizations (like ExxonMobil and British Telecom) gain clarity in a changing world. We are backed by leading global tech investors, including EQT and One Peak, giving us the stability of a mature company with the speed and soul of a startup.

About the role

Every new system, integration, and AI agent an enterprise adds makes the big picture harder to see. The people who feel that most are the CIOs and enterprise architects trying to make confident decisions while their view of their own technology landscape keeps slipping out of date. That is the gap Ardoq exists to close, and as a Business Development Representative, you are the person who opens that conversation.

This is a foundational role on our combined UK and EU Business Development team. You will research and prioritize the right enterprise accounts, reach out with a point of view, and run qualification conversations that get straight to what is actually slowing a prospect down. You will work hand in hand with Account Executives and Marketing to build qualified pipeline, and you will be the first human impression many prospects have of Ardoq.

At Ardoq, we value autonomy and psychological safety. In this role, you won’t just follow a script; you will have the influence to shape how you open a market and the ownership to see your conversations through to qualified pipeline.

What you’ll do

• Identify and prioritize enterprise accounts using LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Salesforce, researching where digital complexity is highest and where Ardoq can create real value.
• Run outbound prospecting across calls, email, and LinkedIn, tailoring your message to the person you are trying to reach rather than blasting a template.
• Lead qualification conversations that uncover where technology complexity is creating risk or slowing progress, and are honest about whether Ardoq is the right fit.
• Partner with your Account Executive to prepare for and join discovery calls, making every handover set the customer up for a strong first meeting.
• Work closely with Marketing so campaigns and your outreach amplify each other.
• Keep your Salesforce pipeline accurate and current, because data quality is part of how we win.
• Stay current on Ardoq’s platform and the enterprise architecture market, so every conversation is grounded in genuine insight.
• Represent Ardoq at events and industry gatherings, contributing to brand presence and lead generation.

On a typical day, you will

Review your priority accounts and plan your outreach, balancing inbound follow-up with new outbound pushes. Run qualification conversations with prospects at different stages, some who have never heard of Ardoq, some already curious about what a “digital twin” of their business could do for them. You will get a few no’s, keep your energy up, and find the one conversation that opens a real opportunity. You will debrief with your Account Executive on a pending handover, use AI to sharpen a sequence and lift your response rates, and close the day with your Salesforce pipeline fully updated and a clear read on where the market is opening up.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who combines genuine commercial curiosity with real persistence, and who is early enough in their career to be shaped by how we do things here.

• The self-starter: You bring your own energy. This is a high-volume role, and you stay motivated through the repetition and the no’s because the drive comes from inside, not from someone standing over you.
• The competitor: You are a go-getter who is genuinely motivated by targets, incentives, and doing more. You want to be measured, and you want to win.
• The prospector: You are confident across calls, email, and LinkedIn, and you use Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator deliberately, not just to find contacts but to prioritize the right accounts.
• The qualifier: You listen before you pitch. You ask the questions that uncover whether a prospect has a real problem Ardoq can solve, and you are honest when the fit isn’t there yet.
• The professional: You can hold a credible, trust-building conversation with senior stakeholders, up to and including CIOs. This isn’t about age; it is about how you show up, how you present, and above all how you listen.
• The technologist at heart: You are genuinely interested in SaaS and enterprise technology and enthusiastic about learning it deeply. Some BDR or sales-adjacent experience is a real advantage.
• The learner: You treat coaching as fuel, applying it quickly and building on it consistently, and you are already curious about how AI can make your work sharper.

The “Ardoq Way”

We live by three values, Bold, Caring, and Driven, that define how we work, how we treat each other, and how we win.

BOLD: We continuously raise the bar for ourselves and each other, starting from a place of “what if I could?” We act decisively, even when the information isn’t complete, and choose forward motion and learning over waiting for the perfect answer.

CARING: We care enough to be candid. That means delivering direct, kind, and timely feedback that helps our teammates grow. We operate as one team, sharing knowledge openly, celebrating each other’s wins, and putting collective success ahead of individual ones.

DRIVEN: At Ardoq, everyone has a stake in the outcome, including stock options. We act like owners: measuring success by impact rather than effort, saying “no” to distractions, and staying focused on the highest-value work at pace.

Why Ardoq?

We believe that high performance is powered by wellbeing. You’ll have access to a competitive package that supports performance, wellbeing, and long-term success.

• Employee Stock Options, share in Ardoq’s success as we grow together
• 25 days annual leave
• Enhanced parental leave to support you and your family
• Retirement and insurance benefits, including health, disability, and life insurance
