Business Development Representative - DACH at Ardoq

Germany, Austria and Switzerland are home to some of Europe's most complex enterprises, and they're hungry for clarity on how fast things are changing.

The Ardoq story

Ardoq is one of Norway's most exciting scale-ups - a truly global company built out of Oslo. We are a SaaS platform that helps organizations understand, manage, and evolve their complex digital landscape. By providing a dynamic, collaborative "digital twin" of their business, we connect systems, people, and processes to drive better decision-making and accelerate digital transformation.

Today, we help some of the world's most complex organizations (like ExxonMobil and British Telecom) gain clarity in a changing world. We are backed by leading global tech investors, including EQT and One Peak, giving us the stability of a mature company with the speed and soul of a startup.

About the role

German-speaking enterprises are modernizing fast, adopting new systems and AI capabilities at a pace that outstrips most organizations' ability to keep a clear picture of their own technology landscape. That's the gap Ardoq exists to close, and as our German-speaking BDR, you're the person who opens that conversation.

This role is built specifically to grow Ardoq's presence in the German-speaking markets. You'll research and prioritize the right enterprises in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, reach out in their own language, and run qualification conversations that get straight to what's actually slowing them down. Fluency in German is a hard requirement for the role.

You'll be based in our Copenhagen office as part of a combined UK and EU Business Development team, working closely with Account Executives and Marketing to build qualified pipeline across the DACH region.

At Ardoq, we value autonomy and psychological safety. In this role, you won't just follow a script; you'll have the influence to shape how we approach the German-speaking markets and the ownership to see your conversations through to qualified pipeline.

What you'll do

• Identify and prioritize enterprise accounts across Germany, Austria and Switzerland using LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Salesforce, researching where digital complexity is highest and where Ardoq can create real value.
• Run outbound prospecting across calls, email, and LinkedIn, adapting messaging to German-speaking business culture and buying behavior.
• Lead qualification calls with German-speaking prospects to uncover where technology complexity is creating risk or slowing progress, and determine whether Ardoq is the right fit.
• Partner with your Account Executive to prepare for and participate in discovery calls, ensuring every handover sets the customer up for a strong first meeting.
• Work closely with Marketing to ensure marketing campaigns and your outreach amplify each other.
• Keep your Salesforce pipeline accurate and current - data quality is part of how we win.
• Stay current on Ardoq's platform and the enterprise architecture market, so every conversation is grounded in genuine insight.
• Represent Ardoq at industry events and gatherings across the DACH region, contributing to brand presence and lead generation in the German-speaking markets.

On a typical day, you will

Review your priority accounts and plan your outreach, balancing inbound follow-up with new outbound pushes. Run qualification conversations with prospects at different stages, some who've never heard of Ardoq, some already curious about what a "digital twin" of their business could do for them. Debrief with your Account Executive on a pending handover, sharpen a sequence using AI to improve response rates, then close the day with your Salesforce pipeline fully updated and a clear read on where the German-speaking markets are opening up.

Who you are

We're looking for someone who combines genuine commercial curiosity with real persistence, someone who wants to build Ardoq's presence in a market from the ground up.

• The linguist: You're fluent in German, spoken and written, and comfortable operating in English day-to-day. You can build genuine rapport with prospects in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in their own language. Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
• The prospector: You're confident across calls, email, and LinkedIn. You use Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator deliberately, not just to find contacts, but to prioritize the right accounts.
• The qualifier: You listen before you pitch. You ask the questions that uncover whether a prospect has a real problem Ardoq can solve, and you're honest when the fit isn't there yet.
• The collaborator: You work closely with Account Executives and Marketing, keeping your handovers well-informed and your pipeline data clean.
• The learner: You're early in your BDR or sales-adjacent career or aiming to start one. You treat coaching as fuel, applying it quickly and building on it consistently.

The "Ardoq Way"

We live by three values - Bold, Caring, and Driven - that define how we work, how we treat each other, and how we win.

BOLD: We continuously raise the bar for ourselves and each other, starting from a place of "what if I could?" We act decisively, even when the information isn't complete, and choose forward motion and learning over waiting for the perfect answer.

CARING: We care enough to be candid. That means delivering direct, kind, and timely feedback that helps our teammates grow. We operate as one team, sharing knowledge openly, celebrating each other's wins, and putting collective success ahead of individual ones.

DRIVEN: At Ardoq, everyone has a stake in the outcome, including stock options. We act like owners: measuring success by impact rather than effort, saying "no" to distractions, and staying focused on the highest-value work at pace.

Why Ardoq?

We believe that high performance is powered by wellbeing. You'll have access to a competitive package that supports performance, wellbeing, and long-term success.

• Employee Stock Options - share in Ardoq's success as we grow together
• 25 days annual leave
• Enhanced parental leave to support you and your family
• Retirement and insurance benefits, including health, disability, and life insurance
• Annual learning budget to support your growth and development
• A hybrid setup with 3–4 days a week in our modern Copenhagen office, featuring great amenities and excellent lunch options
