Reporting to the Chief Commercial & Business Development Officer
Geographic scope: Global
The Business Development Manager will support and assist the CC&BDO in BD global opportunities’ coordination (both internal and external). Assist and deputize, when necessary, with contract’s negotiation, BD forums, scouting activities, company meetings.
BDM will interact with internal corporate departments (Medico Marketing/CI/Regulatory/Supply Chain/Finance, etc.) and global commercial teams’ representatives (Country Managers, B2B Partners, etc.)
Main areas of focus and activities:
Scouting and Identifying BD opportunities, with an In-Licensing and Co-Marketing focus, within the expanding perimeter of Stragen’s commercialisation strategy.
Work with Portfolio development, for maintenance and coordination of databases for BD&L and interdepartmental strategic initiatives/projects. These can include, BD projects, Therapy Areas/Segments, Strategic Pillars, Competitors mapping, Development companies/projects
Ensure appropriate and timely engagement with all critical steps within then BD value chain; These include, CDAs, Initial Terms, IQVIA/CI data coordination, Business Plans’ coordination, Due Diligence Data room coordination (both internal/external)
Assist and deputize the CC&BDO when necessary, in Conferences/BD forums/3rd party Company discussions and follow up actions.
Hands on collaboration with corporate departments for BD development projects
Proactive follow up, with COO and Finance, to ensure the availability of Commercial Business cases both from a timely and qualitative perspective
Ensure appropriate follow up and alignment of activities, with predefined departmental and corporate priorities
Assist with the department’s budget preparation, monthly reporting requirements.
Master degree in Business or equivalent
Experience in licensing, business development or merger & acquisition project coordination
International experience with preference in pharmaceutical/health sector
Exposure and good understanding of business and financial cases
Large autonomy, dynamism, “problem solving”, mixing entrepreneurial and team player mindset
Operate within a lean organisation
Team Player, humble attitude, adaptive
Excellent communication, presentation skills and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
English fluent mandatory, French as a plus
There could be local and regional Business trips (up to 20%). The presence at HQ is needed, percentage to be discussed. Contract to be established in France.
