Part-Time CCHD Intern(NE) at Archdiocese of Baltimore in Baltimore, MD

Summary: Archdiocese of Baltimore is seeking a Part-Time Intern for the Baltimore Committee of the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) to support its mission of addressing poverty and promoting Catholic Social Teaching. The CCHD Intern will assist in planning events, strengthen connections between funded organizations and parishes, and develop a personal project to advance CCHD's mission. Responsibilities: - Assist in planning educational and outreach events for parishes, with the goal of increasing awareness of CCHD and Catholic Social Teaching - Support efforts to strengthen connections between previously funded organizations and local parishes, with an emphasis on Western Maryland parishes, youth engagement, and Latino communities - Assist with the annual CCHD collection by interviewing representatives of CCHD-funded organizations and writing articles highlighting their work and impact - Participate in presentations and events alongside Baltimore CCHD Committee members to promote the mission and work of CCHD - Develop and implement a project or initiative of personal interest that advances the mission of CCHD and the work of justice Required Qualifications: - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Willingness to learn about Catholic Social Teaching, which serves as the foundation of our work - Commitment to following guidelines established for interns by the national and local CCHD committees - Ability and willingness to collaborate creatively and effectively with others - Interest in understanding and addressing the root causes of poverty, as well as a willingness to engage in this work alongside others - Member of the Roman Catholic faith Required Skills: Catholic Social Teaching Benefits: This is not a benefit eligible position.
