Job Description

The Premium Operations Associate supports the processing of premium and commission transactions in insurance operations, ensuring data accuracy and compliance while learning core operational processes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the entry, validation, and reconciliation of premium data from agents and brokers
- Support the processing of premium adjustments and commission calculations under the guidance of senior team members
- Support billing processing with entry into applicable systems
- Monitor incoming payments and assist in verifying the accuracy of cash application records
- Help prepare reports and documentation for internal use and external audits
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to resolve basic discrepancies or data issues
- Maintain accurate records and follow established procedures to ensure compliance and consistency
- Participate in training and development activities to build knowledge of insurance operations and systems
- Support process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting enhancements
Required Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced operational setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn new tools and systems
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field preferred
- 6 months to 3 years of experience in insurance (operations), finance, or administrative operations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Loss sensitive adjustment experience preferred, but not required
- Internship or coursework related to insurance or financial services is a plus
