Summary: Apptronik is a human-centered robotics company developing AI-powered robots to support humanity in every facet of life. As a Software Engineering Intern focused on developer experience, you will work with software engineers to build developer tooling that enhances the efficiency and reliability of robot software development. Responsibilities: - Work on a defined project scoped for a summer internship with a clear deliverable - Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain internal tools used by the engineering team - Collaborate with a host engineer and cross-functional teams - Participate in code reviews and contribute to team engineering standards - Present your project outcomes at the end of the internship Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (expected graduation between Dec 2026 – June 2028) - Proficiency in one or more of: C++, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript - Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows - Comfort working in a Linux/command-line environment - Experience developing software with coding agents, such as Claude Code, Cursor, and/or GitHub Copilot Preferred Qualifications: - Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or container-based workflows - Experience building developer tools, CLI utilities, IDE extensions, or internal platforms - Interest in developer experience, automation, and tooling Required Skills: C++, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript Important Skills: Git, Linux Nice-to-Have Skills: CI/CD pipelines, Docker, developer tools, automation, tooling
