Job Description
Summary: Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions. They are seeking a Process Engineering Intern to design, analyze, and compile reports on process engineering experiments while working across technologies such as Chemical Vapor Deposition and Atomic Layer Deposition.
Responsibilities:
- Design, collect data, analyze, and compile reports on moderately difficult process engineering experiments
- Perform hardware characterization on moderately difficult systems
- Troubleshoot challenging but manageable problems, perform Root Cause Analysis, and resolve process engineering issues
- Measure film properties and organize data/reports for review
- Generate internal documentation for products, presentations, and technical reports
- Communicate and engage with customers to resolve moderately difficult process engineering issues or concerns, under general supervision
- Identify, select, and partner with vendors and suppliers
- Implement new technology, products, and analytical instrumentation
Required Qualifications:
- BS or MS degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in semiconductor process & metrologies preferred
