Job Description
Summary: Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions used to produce virtually every new chip and advanced display in the world. The Engineering Technician III will support the implant systems group by performing machine testing and maintenance on Ion Implanters and RF Plasma Systems while collaborating with engineers and scientists to solve high-value problems for customers.
Responsibilities:
- Observe all safety standards, and actively strive to work safely to prevent accidents and injuries
- Work with cross-functional teams (various engineers and scientists) to solve high-value problems for customers and assist in new product development
- Work from schematics, diagrams, written procedures, verbal instruction, layouts or plans to perform testing and troubleshooting
- Assist engineers and scientists as they create, modify, test, and develop Ion implanters, RF plasma systems, and other semiconductor equipment
- Conduct engineering tests, collect test results, and relay data back to the team
- Utilize strong written communication skills to maintain logbooks
- Identify specification issues with an eye for technical accuracy and thoroughness
