VP Engineering at Apollo in Austin, TX

We are driven to do more. More for our customers and the financial professionals who offer our products. If you are driven to do more and love the challenge of pursuing more, Athene is your kind of company. You will find we offer more than the basics to create an inclusive and dynamic work environment at our various locations.

Purpose & Impact: Build and lead the engineering organization for Athene’s new Innovation Hub in Austin, shaping technology that transforms how annuity and retirement products are distributed and managed. As Vice President, Engineering, you will own the platform’s technical direction, engineering delivery and operational performance—from guarantee decisioning and calculation services to partner integrations, transaction workflows and the supporting data foundation.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity to build a new platform and team for a strategic growth initiative with executive sponsorship. You will design core architecture, write and review critical code, and hire and develop the engineers who scale the platform. Combining Athene’s scale and Apollo partnership with an entrepreneurial approach, you will advance AI-enabled retirement solutions while modeling ownership, innovation and our BEAM values.
