Member of Technical Staff (Frontend) at Anterior in New York, NY

Summary: Anterior is on a mission to transform healthcare administration through an AI-powered platform designed by clinicians. The Member of Technical Staff will own problems end-to-end, focusing on building user-facing experiences and engaging with backend systems to deliver complete solutions. Responsibilities: - Building and owning the frontend experiences that clinicians and customers interact with daily — React and HTMX - Working across the stack — from frontend through to backend services — to ship complete solutions - Working directly with customers to understand real-world healthcare workflows, scope integrations, and translate requirements into product specs - Designing and building backend services, APIs, and data pipelines that power our AI platform - Writing evals to identify weaknesses and drive improvements in our LLM-powered systems - Building internal tooling to automate workflows and increase team leverage - Analyzing request logs, debugging event streams, and improving system reliability - Contributing to Anterior's SDKs, developer documentation, and platform architecture Required Qualifications: - Strong frontend development skills with experience in building complex, performant UIs - Experience with state management, performance, and accessibility in frontend applications - Ability to work across the stack, engaging with backend complexity - Experience in a product-focused engineering role at a startup or scale-up - Ability to own UI/UX end-to-end - Experience with React and HTMX - Proficiency in Python, Go, and TypeScript - Experience with backend services, APIs, and data pipelines - Ability to analyze request logs and debug event streams - Experience with Nix and AWS - Ability to write evaluations to identify weaknesses and drive improvements in systems Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with CDKTF and migrating infrastructure Required Skills: Frontend Development, React, HTMX, State Management, Performance Optimization, Accessibility, Backend Development, Python, Go, TypeScript, API Design, Data Pipelines, AWS, System Design, AI Platform Development Benefits: Equity package, Competitive, top-of-market salary, 100% covered health, dental, and vision insurance, Catered lunches and a stocked kitchen, Commuter benefits, Company laptop along w/ tools you need to succeed, Learning & development budget, Team-building events, Flexible PTO
