Job Description
Summary: Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago provides superior pediatric care and is seeking a Data Manager to support their research program. The role involves developing data collection systems, organizing and analyzing study data, and ensuring data quality for research studies.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up data files with the ACASI system
- Ensure data files are captured within an SPSS database
- Cleaning of the data which will occur continuously as data is collected over the next 21 months
- Preliminary data analysis including establishing the psychometric properties of the psychosocial survey measures, bivariate analysis of association and exploratory logistic regression analyses
- Communicate with the senior statistical consultant regarding the Structural Equation Modeling required to test the theoretical model
- Performs job functions adhering to service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients, families, co-workers and others
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience managing research data
- Prior experience programming electronic questionnaires
- Experience and knowledge with SPSS, SAS, STATA, or other statistical storage and analysis software
- Ability to perform basic statistical analysis
- Excellent written and oral skills are required
- Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Office applications
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while being an essential part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's preferred in biostatistics, epidemiology, social sciences, public health, or a related discipline
- Collaborative research experience is a plus
