Job Description
Summary: Anderson Dahlen Inc. is seeking a Summer intern to work in their engineering teams, providing valuable work experience for engineering students in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. The role involves design and development of products, problem-solving, and collaboration with senior engineers on technical tasks for ongoing projects.
Responsibilities:
- Accept work direction from engineers, which includes design and development of products, driving continuous improvement initiatives, problem-solving, and influencing cross-functional teams
- The successful candidate will work with senior engineers to perform technical tasks within the Engineering group for both new and ongoing engineering projects
- Writing test protocol and reports
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Engineering students, preferably Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering enrolled in a 4-year accredited college program, with a minimum sophomore year completed by May 2025
- Strong engineering aptitude with good ‘hands-on' skills
- Interest in design, test, systems, and/or production engineering fields
- Working knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Ability to take work direction as a learning opportunity
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently and organize/prioritize job assignments and tasks
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with management and cross-functional team members
