Job Description
Summary: Anders is one of the fastest-growing accounting firms in the country, seeking a Business Development Associate motivated to learn and deliver outstanding results. This role supports the HR and Talent Transformation Practice by engaging and nurturing Marketing Qualified Leads into Sales Qualified Leads, focusing on early-stage relationship development and effective use of digital tools and CRM systems.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to inbound inquiries and follow up with Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) provided by the marketing team
- Conduct structured outreach via email, phone, and digital channels to nurture MQLs and convert them into Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs)
- Assess lead fit and readiness using defined qualification criteria
- Maintain a clean, accurate CRM pipeline with timely updates and activity tracking
- Coordinate with practice leadership to schedule discovery calls, demos, or consultations once leads reach SQL status
- Support the development of proposals, presentations, and tailored HR solutions in partnership with senior team members
- Success is measured by the quality and readiness of leads handed off to practice leaders
- Use LinkedIn and other relevant platforms to engage with active MQLs and support ongoing nurturing efforts
- Leverage existing firm content to advance active conversations and accelerate lead engagement
- Monitor social engagement metrics and adjust messaging to improve conversion rates
- Stay informed on audience behavior, campaign performance, and lead engagement trends to refine outreach approaches
- Develop a strong understanding of HR services, including operating models, talent management, consulting, and workforce management
- Stay updated on industry trends, employment regulations, and workforce market shifts
- Clearly communicate value propositions to HR managers, business owners, and executives
- Build rapport with potential clients and maintain early-stage relationships until handoff to senior sales or account managers
- Represent the company at virtual or in-person networking events as needed
- Ensure a smooth transition from initial interest to deeper consultation by senior team members
Required Qualifications:
- 1–3+ years of experience in inside sales, business development, or sales development (HR or staffing experience a plus)
- Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot)
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, especially LinkedIn, as a nurturing and engagement tool
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable initiating proactive outreach to warm leads and engaging decision-makers
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently or collaboratively
- Understanding of HR terminology, processes, and services
- Experience with content engagement or social selling on LinkedIn
- Basic analytics skills to assess lead engagement and track performance
- Ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple priorities
