Position Overview
Anastasia Talent Group is recruiting a Bridge Section Head on behalf of a confidential civil engineering firm in Lexington, Kentucky. This leadership role is responsible for the local bridge section’s business development, financial performance, staffing, and professional development.
The selected candidate will partner with office managers and practice leaders to implement growth strategies, strengthen client relationships, and provide technical guidance to project managers and engineering staff. This opportunity combines bridge engineering expertise with business management and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
Coordinate the section’s strategic growth plan with office managers and practice leaders.
Establish and expand local market presence through marketing, client engagement, and business development.
Manage the department’s financial budget and allocate resources to support operational and project needs.
Lead and contribute to proposal development.
Serve as a technical resource for project managers and staff on bridge engineering projects.
Assess workload, determine staffing needs, and plan section resources.
Interview and hire employees to support section capabilities and growth.
Conduct staff performance reviews, incorporating feedback from project managers.
Set clear expectations and goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct one-on-one coaching meetings.
Support employee growth through continuous performance management and professional development.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited program.
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
At least 10 years of specialized bridge engineering experience.
Project management experience.
Business development experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Technical expertise in civil and structural engineering as applied to bridge projects.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with county and state clients in the local market.
Supervisory experience.
