Job Description
Summary: Analytical Mechanics Associates (AMA) is seeking a summer intern to support the NASA Langley Research Center Autonomous Integrated Systems Research Branch. In this position, you will develop control interfaces and operational documentation for robotic manipulators, positioners, and rovers while gaining experience in an agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop control interfaces and operational documentation for robotic manipulators, positioners, and rovers
- Gain experience working with other engineers, software developers, and researchers in an agile environment to meet deliverables
- Participate in code reviews
Required Qualifications:
- Major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or related field
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++
- Familiarity with Linux and command-line tools
- Ability to work with hardware and troubleshoot technical issues
- Must attend a Virginia school or be a permanent resident of Virginia
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ROS/ROS2
- Experience with serial communication
