Job Description
Summary: Analytical Mechanics Associates (AMA) is a small business specializing in aerospace engineering and analytics. As a Business Development Intern, you will support efforts in pursuing new business opportunities with various government and commercial customers, gaining hands-on experience in strategic business development and marketing within the aerospace and defense industry.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on market trends, customers, and competitors
- Support development of strategic planning and opportunity tracking
- Monitor developments within the aerospace and defense industry relevant to stakeholder priorities and budgets
- Support planning and preparation for meetings, networking events, and conferences
- Assist Social Media Manager with marketing content
- Assist with development of marketing handouts and slide decks
- Assist Capture Managers and Proposal Managers with organizing and managing pursuits
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program in Business Administration, Marketing & Communications, Aerospace Engineering, Space Science, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
- Familiarity with aerospace and defense
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship or coursework in business development and marketing
- Previous internship within aerospace and/or defense
- Previous experience with social media management
- Previous experience or coursework in proposal development
