An Post is now hiring Auxiliary (Temporary) Postpersons for the busy Christmas season
(Must be available from October to January)
- Pay rate: €15.44 per hour (new hires) plus allowances where applicable
- Locations: Ballyhaunis, Ballinrobe, Ballinasloe, Clifden, Claremorris, Gort, Galway, Tuam, Loughrea, Westport

Responsibilities
You’ll be responsible for:
- Sorting, processing, collections & delivering of mail & parcels accurately
- Following standard operating procedures and working as part of a team
- Supporting An Post’s commitment to high quality standards in our deliveries
Qualifications
Candidate Requirements
We’re looking for hardworking and reliable people who are organised, flexible, and committed to delivering excellence.
You must have:
- Be at least 18 years of age on or before 1st October 2026
- A full, clean EU Category B driving licence (manual)
- Permission to live and work in Ireland
- Ability to work across all shifts in a 24-hour operation
Previous experience in a similar environment is an advantage.
