Summary: Amgen is a leading biotechnology company dedicated to serving patients living with serious illnesses. The Operations Transformation and Digital Strategy Intern will support strategy execution by helping to establish the operating model and enable high-impact work across the organization, focusing on AI and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities: - Document and codify existing OTDS roles, responsibilities, decision rights, and governance into clear, consumable artifacts - Develop onboarding and role-enablement materials (onboarding guides, ‘how we work’ training, execution playbooks, etc.) - Support standard work by refining templates, cadences, and disciplined execution practices already in use - Translate OTDS AI use cases into foundational guidance (e.g. how AI support CI problem-solving, decision acceleration, and project charters/options analysis/etc.) - Leverage AI tools to accelerate onboarding process, creation of training assets, data synthesis, and standardization of OTDS materials - Package materials into leadership-ready content, reinforcing clarity, accountability and adoption to accelerate innovation - Support structured communication assets (newsletters, short-form communication campaigns, onboarding materials) that explain ‘what’s changing and how to engage.’ Required Qualifications: - 18 years or older - Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor's Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent - Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing - Enrolled in a full-time Bachelor's degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university - Must not be employed at the time the internship starts - Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship or co-op Preferred Qualifications: - Degree concentration in Business Administration or Marketing or Data Science - Experience with AI/basic ML concepts (AI prototyping, prompt engineering, model evaluation, and automation of workflows) - Understanding of project management tools and enabling strong execution Required Skills: AI concepts, Project management tools Important Skills: Business Administration, Marketing, Data Science Nice-to-Have Skills: Team player, Communication skills Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer Benefits: Build a network of colleagues that will endure and grow throughout your time with us and beyond., Bring your authentic self to the table and become the professional you’re inspired to be through accepting a culture that values the diversity of thought and experience and will flex to your strengths and possibilities., Participate in executive and social networking events, as well as community volunteer projects.
