Job Description
Summary: The American Enterprise Institute (AEI) seeks an in-person intern for its technology policy studies program, which focuses on advancing policies to encourage innovation, competition, and growth in technology. The intern will assist AEI’s technology policy team with daily research and administrative activities, as well as the tech policy newsletter.
Responsibilities:
- Provide research support for the technology policy team
- Attend and staff AEI events, which regularly feature DC’s top policy leaders
- Assist in posting and promoting daily content
- Manage multiple projects, initiatives, and deadlines simultaneously
- Be highly interested in technology and internet policy, including artificial intelligence, telecommunications, regulation in high-tech industries, antitrust and intellectual property law, digital privacy and data protection, and cybersecurity
Required Qualifications:
- Rising college sophomore or above
- Outstanding academic record
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated interest in a wide range of technology policy topics
- Strong grasp of US institutions and current events
- Ability to participate in the program on an in-person basis for 30-40 hours a week
- GPA of 3.5 or higher from a top-ranking college or university
