Job Description
Summary: American Electric Power (AEP) is seeking an Entry-Level Supply Chain Process Lead Associate to assist in planning and coordinating processes associated with Supply Chain standard work. The role focuses on data analysis and dashboarding to support decision-making across the Procurement, Supply Chain, and Fleet organization, while also participating in documentation and process improvement activities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in Documentation: Support the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation of Supply Chain processes and work instructions, ensuring clarity and accessibility for all team members
- Support Senior Team Members: Collaborate with experienced team members in identifying areas for improvement and participate in team meetings to contribute ideas and feedback
- Participate in Training Sessions: Assist in the development and attend functional training sessions focused on Supply Chain tools and competencies, helping to foster a learning environment for peers and stakeholders
- Data Collection and Analysis: Understand Supply Chain metrics and assist in the basic analysis of performance trends to identify improvement opportunities
- Provide Input in Meetings: Actively participate in team meetings, sharing insights on process improvement ideas and learning from experienced colleagues
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent as defined in experience requirements
- No prior experience required, but internships, related coursework preferred, 4 years of work experience if no degree
- Strong interest in learning and developing new skills
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Able to balance speed and accuracy in a fast‑paced environment
- Customer‑focused with a service‑oriented mindset
