Job Description
Summary: The American Clean Power Association (ACP) is the leading voice of today’s multi-tech clean energy industry, representing various clean energy sectors. They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student to join as an IT Intern, providing support for helpdesk operations and IT infrastructure while gaining hands-on experience in a mission-driven organization.
Responsibilities:
- Support helpdesk operations by responding to user inquiries via phone, email, and in-person ticketing systems
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving basic hardware, software, and network issues
- Document issues, solutions, and procedures, and escalate more complex matters to senior IT staff as appropriate
- Support IT infrastructure tasks, including user account setup, access management, and equipment deployment
- Assist with updating and maintaining IT equipment, systems, and software
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with colleagues on day-to-day IT support and ongoing initiatives
- Support additional IT projects and tasks as needed to meet team priorities
Required Qualifications:
- Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate, pursuing coursework in computer science, information technology, or a related field
- Strong interest in information technology and learning how IT supports organizational operations
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and work both independently and collaboratively
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Enrollment in an IT training program or completion of relevant coursework
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or similar certifications
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows (10/11) and Office 365 applications
- Prior experience providing technical support in an academic, volunteer, or internship setting
