Job Description
Summary: The American Cancer Society is dedicated to ending cancer and is seeking a Workforce Analytics & Insights Intern for their People Team. This internship will provide hands-on experience in workforce analytics, focusing on people data, data quality, and supporting organizational decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the implementation of our One Model people analytics platform while supporting foundational data quality and data governance efforts
- Review, clean, validate, and organize people data across systems to ensure it is accurate, consistent, and ready to support reporting and analysis
- Assist with documentation, basic reporting, and exploratory analysis while partnering with members of the People Team across areas such as talent management and people operations
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with structured data
- Experience with Excel (sorting, filtering, pivot tables, basic formulas)
- Ability to follow defined processes and clearly document work
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Curiosity and interest in understanding how data supports business and people decisions
- Ability to communicate insights and questions clearly in both written and verbal formats
- Comfort working with confidential information and maintaining data privacy
- Must be available for entirety of 8-week program: June 1st – July 24th, 2026, at 37.5 hours per week
- Full-time student, if you are an undergraduate student, you have completed your freshman year of college
- Have a minimum of a B average (cumulative 3.0 on 4.0 scale)
- Plan to continue your education in the following term/semester

Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to HR systems (HRIS) or people analytics tools
- Experience working with datasets or performing basic analysis in coursework or projects
- Familiarity with data validation, data cleanup, or data quality practices
- Interest in people analytics, talent strategy, or workforce planning
