Job Description
Summary: The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) is dedicated to ending cancer for everyone. They are seeking a Global Cancer Support Intern to assist in creating and updating training materials for the Global Academy website, providing hands-on experience in learning design and digital content development.
Responsibilities:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Human Resources, Education, Communications, Media, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in learning design, training development, and adult learning concepts
- Basic familiarity with digital learning formats such as eLearning, video, and virtual or instructor-led training (VILT/ILT)
- Comfortable working with common productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva)
- Willingness to learn new software applications, tools, and learning technologies
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, and manage time effectively (self-starter mindset)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with team members and accept feedback
- Creative mindset with an interest in improving learning experiences
- Prior coursework, projects, or internships related to content development or training is a plus but not required
Required Qualifications:

- Must be available for entirety of 8-week program: June 1st – July 24th, 2026, at 37.5 hours per week
- Full-time student, if you are an undergraduate student, you have completed your freshman year of college
- Have a minimum of a B average (cumulative 3.0 on 4.0 scale)
- Plan to continue your education in the following term/semester
- Upload a resume upon application submission
- Note: an internship assignment may coincide with your last term/trimester as a full-time student, but the internship must be disengaged upon graduation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior coursework, projects, or internships related to content development or training is a plus but not required
