Job Description
Summary: Amcor is a global leader in packaging solutions, and they are seeking a Manufacturing Assistant to support production operations. In this hands-on role, you will assist operators, prepare materials, and monitor equipment to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
Responsibilities:
- Assist operators with set-up, operation, and monitoring of press, extrusion, or converting equipment
- Prepare, load, and stage raw materials, rolls, inks, cartons, and supplies needed for continuous production
- Transport materials using hoists, forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other material-handling equipment
- Remove finished rolls, pallets, or waste and stage for the next step in the process
- Inspect materials and running product for defects and report quality issues
- Perform roll changes, ink changes, and material changeovers as directed
- Record production data, weights, and complete required documentation
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with GMP, AIB, and food safety standards
- Assist with housekeeping, waste handling, and recycling activities
- Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts
- Follow all safety, PPE, lockout/tagout, and company policies
- Assist other team members and departments as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Machine experience required

- Lift and carry materials up to 50–60 lbs
- Stand and walk for extended periods during a 12-hour shift
- Push, pull, bend, crouch, reach, and climb stairs or ladders
- Work around moving machinery and elevated platforms
- Steel-toed shoes and required PPE must be worn
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Manufacturing experience preferred but not required
- Basic math and measuring skills
- Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
