Job Description
Summary: Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides cloud infrastructure and operates global data centers, networks, and related technology systems. The Network Deployment Planner will scope and plan network capacity deployments, coordinate infrastructure resources and project milestones, and work with supply chain, procurement, engineering, and deployment teams to deliver customer capacity.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to timelines
- Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes always with an eye on improvement
- Work closely with our Install/Deployment Technicians, Supply Chain & Procurement, Network Engineers and Technical Project Manager teams to ensure fast, smooth delivery of on-demand customer capacity
- Knowledge of network cabling and optic types
- Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
- Familiarity with common networking terms
- Excellent judgement and analytical skills, ability to prioritize tasks based on fluctuating needs. - Strong prioritization and time management ability
- Coordination of design, project timeline/schedule and construction milestones
- Experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management. Must be well organized and able to work effectively under time pressure
Required Qualifications:
- • Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers
- • Experience in project management
- • 1+ years of in data center or critical environment in Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, or Data Center Operations experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of data center, critical environment, computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or data center operations experience
- Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system
- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
- Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
