Job Description
Summary: Altar'd State is a rapidly growing women’s fashion brand with over 130 locations. The IT Procure to Pay/Supply Chain Intern will gain hands-on experience by supporting the IT Development team and assisting in streamlining business processes within retail operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders across different departments to support ongoing and upcoming IT projects
- Work closely with IT, business units, and external vendors to understand requirements and contribute to solutions that align with business objectives
- Collaborate with team members to create flow charts, process diagrams, and other visual aids to clarify workflows and business processes
- Support the testing phase of IT initiatives by assisting in creating test plans, participating in user acceptance testing (UAT), and documenting results
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and help implement solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the Merchandising (Procure to Pay) and Logistics departments
- Provide general administrative and project support as needed to ensure the smooth execution of projects
- Adapt to rapidly changing requirements and priorities
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Strong interest in retail planning and merchandising, supply chain, and IT
- Basic knowledge of business analysis techniques, such as requirements gathering and process mapping
- Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or similar for creating flow charts and diagrams
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Proactive and eager to learn, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with testing methodologies and creating test plans is a plus, but not required
